I cannot even begin to understand what you have there.

Easy solution: take a photo of the switch and wiring.

PS the old switch WILL have the terminals marked.

Sometimes its L1 L2 L3
Sometimes A1 A2 A3
Sometimes C, L1 L2
and not all switches are laid out the same.

How to upload a photo is described here http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=129539

PS, what is a
?

Nor I.

Kim - it would help a lot if you wrote intelligibly - as a test, print out what you wrote, and ask someone to read it out loud to you, exactly as written, and see how it sounds....

Understand that
the circuit is wired posative to switch boxes
not sure what this means, are you actually saying the back boxes are connected to earth?

Some are marked by letters or one way, two way.
can anyone tell me which wire go where in the new switch
I am sure someone can
colours are red....yellow and red....blue and red ....red and yellow... blue...red...where i have given two colours this is two wires .....
So you have:
Single red
twin red and yellow
twin blue and red
twin red and yellow
single blue
single red
or
you have at the six switch terminals
a red
a red and yellow together
a blue and red together
a red and yellow together
a blue
a red
?
Me thinks the second option!
A photo of existing/old switch and cables plus one of new switch would be much appreciated.

Well done, that man ! helpful, positive and not patronising.

I hope you have responsibility for training apprentices.

Swiftly moving on, I think we need a picture to sort out the conductor/ terminal confusion.
