I'm not very handy with electrics and shoul probably get an electrician but I want to learn how to do it myself. I have just replaced all my old light switches and have now started on the light fixtures. The old ceiling rose has three flexes coming through the ceiling with three red, 3 black and 3 green wires but the new light fighting only has a 1 Earth, 1 live and 1 neutral connector so where do all the wires go?

p.s. with ceiling roses it is extremely important to mark the various cables and their cores before disconnecting the old one, and draw a diagram, so you can reconnect them in exactly the same way. Most cries for help on domestic lighting are from people who did not do this.
