Hi all,
I am replacing a 68mm cast iron down guttering pipe with Flopast plastic.
The cast iron pipe has an angled T fitting on it.
A 30mm (approx) pipe, which I think is lead, from a small flat roof is channelled into the 68mm T piece to allow rain water to run off the flat roof into the down pipe.
(If this sounds odd, the house was built in 1935).
Will plumbers mait be suitable to fill in the gap between the new plastic T fitting and the existing lead pipe?
If not, what should I use instead?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
