32mm service pipe stopcock type

Hi all

The water board are fitting my new service pipe soon and their guy recommended i use 32mm but im wondering what kind of stopcock they will pass.

The brass ones seize up for one thing, but are they the only type that will get passed or doesnt it matter as long as it stops the supply?

As long as it's WRAS approved, then it'll be fine. A normal brass stop is fine, just use it twice a year and it'll last for years and open it till it stops then back half a turn and it won't seize up.

I’ve seen plastic ones used in new builds, but I agree with @Madrab , as long as it’s WRAS approved it should be fine. Personally I prefer Brass, more durable and if the head breaks there’s usually a way of opening and closing until you can replace again.
