3D room designing software

Does anyone know of any software I could use to help me to organise furniture etc and design a kitchen for my new house?

I would like the ability to be able to input sizes of items and then move them around to see where they would fit.

I'm also having an extension so this may help with that.

I have access to Autocad but was hoping for something simpler as I don't want to have to spend weeks learning it.

Maybe something exists online that does this?

Cheers, I've actually just downloaded Sketchup and drawn 'plans' of each room with dimensions.

It's quite easy to use - once I realised you can just type the sizes in as your drawing a line - A lot more accurate than my first go with it lol.

Not sure how I will get on with the furniture - I think I'll try to make each piece as a diagram and then import it into the room of choice. Might be a learning curve but worth it.

The tutorial videos are worth a look. One of the examples shows various methods of drawing a chair. The advanced method is cool, and easy once you see how it's done.
