Is it possible to get a 4" door latch that isn't heavy duty?

I've had a new internal door fitted, with a 4" latch to move the door knob away from the door frame. But it's a heavy duty latch making it impossible to turn the door knob. Whilst I can get a non-heavy duty latch in a shorter size, this will move the door knob inwards, revealing the door knob screw holes.

I can't find a 4" non-heavy duty latch anywhere, do they exist?

I expect you are using an Altro, which is very high quality.

get an oval knob.

or

You might find an old-stock Legge on ebay. The 4" case has a 3 1/2" backset (approx)

I also have a box of these for sale

but they need a bit of chisel work

or a different design which is a bathroom lock with a thumbturn
