4 way lighting ?

I am fitting new lights in my kitchen, using 2 switches at either end of the room. Both switches are doubles one side for ceiling lights one for plinth/under unit lights. Do I need to run 2 lengths of 3 core and earth cable (one for each side of switch/circuit) or is there a way of making one cable common ?

My first post so go easy on the virgin

You need 2 cables.
