hi, i've just put a new kitchen in and am gonna tile the walls and dont want loads of wires and plugs for the appliances around.
so i had an idea of putting in a 4gang 2way switch but instead of using it for the lights i would use each switch for a deifferent appliance.
ie:- 1st fridge, 2nd washer, 3rd dishwasher, 4th cooker.
is this possible and if so whats the easiest way, or am i just wasting my time.
cheers Russ

you be better using a grid switch with 4 x 20a 2 pole switches in but really you need to fuse each circuit, how are you feeding this switch? ring? radial? what mcb rating?

By fitting single 13A sockets at each appliance he'll have overload protection for each cable leaving the gridswitch.
