Hello - I am hoping someone can help.

I am replacing my electric fitted oven as it often fails to heat up, or loses heat and was looking for a cheap option as I will not be living in this flat for much longer. I bought a Beko oven from Curry's and when they tried to install it there were two problems. A) the current oven is wired directly to the main and the specialist plug socket was not fitted. B) directly behind the oven there is the gas pipe for the hob which meant that the recess is only 546mm deep and the oven I purchased was 600mm deep. The guy fitting it was very helpful and also said that I may fit a 550mm one but it may be squeeze. The oven wouldn't sit directly against the pipe as the oven fits in a recess that forms part of the kitchen units.

I think the first problem should be pretty easy to sort out but the second less so. I have seen lots of ovens that are 550mm deep but have read online that these measurements are often inaccurate. Does anyone have any experience or best of all, specific oven models that may work. I have read that Caple may be a good brand to consider.

Thanks in advance.

Can the gas pipe not be relocated, they generally do not sit greater than 50mm of the base wall, they are normally routed to allow a standard oven to be housed.
Most ovens only require a unit depth of 550mm.

Thanks - the pipe could be moved but i'm probably moving flat in the next couple of months so don't want the expense and disruption!

I may take pot luck with one of the ovens that measure 550mm. Aparrently Whirlpool may be a good brand to go for (size wise at least…)
