50mm cast iron downpipe

I need to replace the lower section of a downpipe which is about 110 yrs old.

It is 50mm though.

I can buy a loose spigot which will accept the pipe coming down into it, but the outlet from the spigot will be 63mm in size. So it will not go into the old 50mm pipe.

Any solutions ?

All i can think is to buy the spigot and change over to plastic after that.

Something like above, or a flexiseal.

I think Hargreaves foundry do a 2 inch ..

Cant use that rubber socket though. Just wouldn't look right.

Longbottoms of Holmfirth do 2in cast fall pipe.
In fact do just about everything you can think of in cast rainwater & drainage.

If for some reason you struggle to get the section , as you have the piece it can be welded even if it is cast iron .
We've had some fancy cast hoppers repaired in the past without to much fuss .

You can get fibreglass replicas of that cast stuff- not cheap but looks good & is the same bore as the original.
