'53 Reg Renault Clio - Misfiring

Hi everyone,

We have a Renault Clio 1.4 16v. Just got back home, car is mis-firing badly. It feels like it is only firing on two or three cylinders. Just looked under the bonnet, but as it is very dark and complicated it's not easy to see even the spark plugs. Anybody got any ideas as to what it is likely to be or has anyone had any similar problems?

Problem may just be spark plugs.You need to get to them take off plastic cover on top, you will eventually see plug leads.Try new plugs, if no improvement post again.

did this found plugs and replaced but it turned out to be the coils, ther are 4 of them attached to plugs , give me an old car anyday a lot simpler

No change except the electronic ingintion and fuel injection on newer cars glad you've solved it though as sometimes a misfire is a b....r to find.
