57 Dispatch 2.0HDi L2H1 - Side Door not unlocking

Hi all,

As above, the n/s door won't unlock. It unlocked recently for a few days, now its refusing.

I can pull at the interior handle, but this doesn't unlock it, and I can't see a lock catch to pull at as an interim method of opening it.

It's still under warranty, so I suppose I want to know

a) whats causing it, and is it likely to be covered?

b) is there a way of opening it from the inside?

It may sound odd, but check the fuel filler cap is correctly fitted.

Some vehicles with sliding side doors have an interlock on the door that crosses the fuel filler cap position. It's supposed to stop anyone opening that door onto a fuel pump nozzle when you're on the garage forecourt by locking it when the filler cap is removed.
