6mm or 8mm glass in lift and slide patio door

Hi
We are thinking about the Schuco Lift and Slide patio doors.
It is a big 6.5 metre run in 3 doors and we are not sure whether to have 6mm or 8mm thick glass - any advice would be much appreciated.
