I have a 93' Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera S and it recently started dying on me.
At first it would run for a little while then after about 30 minutes, If I came to a stop or slow down during turning it dies on me.

My brother in law is a mechanic and he says all I need is a really good tune-up.

He gave me the parts

pcv valve
spark plug wires (He's getting the spark plugs from his work)
and a filter

Would this be causing the car to die on me like that?
At first I thought it was over heating, but the gauge is fine and doesn't exceed to the red so that can't be the problem right?

All I want is to be able to go to work and get home.. And my car is taking a dump :(

Not a clue what car that us, but those parts would certainly help the running problems.
Might not cure it, but they would be the first things to change

american cars are built to last about 5 years, buy a european car, last you much much much longer.
