'A' Level grades - how about a sensible discussion....

which minister?
"Schools minister Nick Gibb has defended the algorithm which downgraded pupils’ exam results as a “good model”, but admitted it “certainly was foreseen” that privately-educated children could benefit."

the Education Secretary
Will be remembered for his failures. The system he put in place was sh it an was rightly binned. What came after was a consequence of his ineptitude. Perhaps he hoped no one would notice the disparity and the fact that the elite benefitted most.

Typical Tories, lol.

A 25% increase in the number of students receiving top GCSE grades. That's OK then? No doubt the Education Secretary will be promoted for that result!!

Why are you going on about GCSEs when the government's handling of COVID19 in the NHS has been so bad?

Oh. Then no.

The applicant would have needed to have done a mock exam under the same conditions of a real driving test.

That's as ******** as a 2020 A level.

Driving the route of the test is more realistic than mock exams, unless mocks now have the same questions as the real exam. The point is, 2020 exam results will be tarnished, through nobody's fault. The best thing would have been to take the exams in the holidays, plenty of time to have them spread out to keep social distancing.

There arguing about this caper on the radio

 dunno tbh

One thing they have said is due to the record number of passes and a lack of uni places some have been deferred to next year?

apparently there will be a knock on affect for next year's students??? Due to this year's mess

There will. Be a lack of uni places

No lack of places next year, quite the opposite...

Brexit will make sure of that given the drop in EU students that has already happened on top of Covid!
