Hello, I'm in the process of moving an electric shower from one room to another. I noticed that the mouting box and switch were cracked. I undid the wires and took the damaged goods with me to obtain new ones. The new switch has the words load and supply against the two sets of terminals. Can anyone tell me if I'm right in thinking that the load terminal wires go to the shower and the supply goes back to the main box.

You're correct. A load is any device or appliance which consumes power, in this case your shower.

The switch will still work if you wire load and supply the opposite way round, but the red warning light will be on all the time.
