Wow - I knew all those cans I emptied over the years would come in handy for someone! 
Its what to do with the 3/4 empty tins i'd like to know.
I firmly believe that the EU are looking at it from a very narrow angle with the emissions thing, recycling for TRADE at the merchants and the introduction of 3.5 litre tins from the manufacturers (because so often 2.5 isn't enough and 5 way too much) would be a good start for me.
