Hi
moved house recently that has a Accenta 8 alarm fitted. We have had some electrical work done and after Electricians left noticed that the alarm strobe was flashing outside. Keypad seems 'dead' apart from the Tamper light which is illuminated.
Can anyone tell me how cancel the strobe please.

sounds like someone has set the tamper off press reset should stop the strobe but if the tamper light is still on the key pad will lock out until you find out why the tamper went off and rectify the fault either the passives if wired for tamper or the key pad tamper or the bell box tamper did you have any work done around these if not and you are competent enough remove the front cover on the control panel to put a link wire into the tamper on the key pad if you have one, or is it onboard key pad be careful electricity kills you also have other tamper circuits to look at if wired up and the bell box tamper this is T+A on the panel simply by putting a link on one of these at a time you should find the fault remember there could be a broken wire in the system also you will have to press the tamper spring on the control panel as this will lock the panel out or FIT THE COVER BACK ON BEFORE THE PANEL WILL RESET pressing reset after you put the links in should clear the panel to day mode it will be worth putting a new battery in whilst you are doing this remember to rectify any faults that are on the tamper as they are their to protect you system and your property good luck
