Would anyone know if its possible to programme the use of 2 doors for entry/exit?
I have a garage with an electric roller shutter and a rear upvc door and i need to use both to enter and exit the garage.
I do have the instructions somewhere and will dig them out later for a read but just wondered does anyone know of an easy method.
Thanks

Hi,

If the two detectors are on their own cable runs from the control panel, i.e. one from the roller shutter and the other from the upvc. At the control panel there will be an alarm pair for the upvc and an alarm pair for the roller shutter. Let's say for example that the two alarm cores are red and black for each door. At the panel, join a red from the upvc to say a black from the roller, better do this in a plastic strip connector block. There are now a single red from one cable and a single black from the other. Connect this pair into the one entry/ exit terminal pair (zone pair) inside the panel. The colours quoted are just examples, but the method is the same for any colours. There may be other methods, so watch your post.

Smack on CH, you are obviously not an average diy'er, Good on you. You can do the same thing at the panel for any number of directly connected devices. Say you wanted to free up a zone pair for example, this is the quickest and easiest way of doing it. Well done.

Best Wishes.
