On the older style ACL/Drayton two-port valves the actuator is not easily removeable. I have one that has burned the microswitch out. Do not want to drain down large system to replace.
Does anybody know if the later type actuator can be used for parts to mend the older type?

microswitch will change over with no problems, they are available at RS components etc for peanuts or scavenge from either version of valve.

most other components are not interchangeable for various reasons but is is possible with a bit of messing to fit newer head on to old body, a friend has done it but ive never bothered as i have multiple spares for both and its usually easier to change the entire valve anyway.
