We've had a garden room built. DPC is slightly higher than the cladding level by around 1 inch and then there is black plastic pvc covering the slab below the cladding.

Paving company has added an aco drain which is right inder the cladding almost and clear of the dpc at maximum 1inch.

Is this too close or will the aco drain suffice?

From civils in uni we were taught 150mm or 75mm at a push with a cap system. However its been a while so I want to make sure I'm not mistakes as part M of build regs require access to be level so, so wondered if it was done in this fashion.
