I wish to add a socket in the middle of a ring main, I can't use a socket to branch off, as none near to where I need new socket. I have 2 cables off ring main running side by side both of same ring main (completing circit) which one do I break in to to add socket or does it matter which one I pick.
any help would be greatful.

You can break in to either leg of the ring final circuit.
But as cumbriahandyman has pointed out, you will need some slack in the cable or you may need to extend the circuit.
With extending the circuit any cables that are jointed most be easily accessible, so you can't be using a junction boxes and hiding them under the floor unless there is easy access to them or burying joints in walls.
It could be a better idea to extend the circuit from an existing socket, this will mean the removal of some existing cable and changing it for new longer lengths or you could consider instead of extending the circuit, adding a spur or a fused spur from an existing socket to the point you desire your extra socket.
