Hi all
There's a similar thread on here already, but unfortunately it doesn't move me any further forward.
I have a Heatslave 20/25 boiler, from (we think) 2007, and there's no frost thermostat fitted. Fitting a frost thermostat is catered for in the unit, but I'm confused by the wiring.
Reading the wiring schematics from the installation manual, I need to use a double pole frost thermostat, however the pins on the PCB are labelled as Fs, Fr and Fr. e.g. Frost Supply, Frost Return, Frost Return. Also, my understanding is that double pole thermostats need four wires, but only three are in the schematic.
Reading between the lines, I think I should be able to use a frost stat such as the Drayton RTS3 and then bridge pins 1 and 4 on the PCB, but I want to consult the learned experts here first before I kill my boiler. For info, I'm generally comfortable with household wiring (cookers, ring finals, lighting etc), I've just never worked with boilers.
Many thanks.
Jim
