Adding a power socket from spur switches in a kitchen?

Hi,

Apologies if i don't get the jargon right! I have 3 switches (fused spurs?) in a kitchen cupboard that are for switching off the washing machine, oven and diswasher/rangehood. I want to have a conventional power socket in the same cupboard.

Is it possible to add a power socket inside the cupboard that runs off one of these spurs without needing to get in behind the cupboard?

I just wanted to get an idea of whether the job is possible/easy so that i don't waste an electrician's time coming to see it.

Much depends on exactly how yours is wired. The typical grid switch can be quite tight to work with and since it would required LABC involvement cheap option is scheme member electrician.
