I want to add a new rad to an existing combi CH system.
Is it just a case of me finding the plastic pipes leading to another rad, draining down and then T-piecing the pipes to the new rad position?

Have a look at an existing rad on the same floor and you should find two pipes with two 15mm pipes tee'd off them. You need to tee of the pipes running horizontally not vertical. It's common practice for the main flow and return (horizontal) pipes to be 22mm and the tee'd ones 15mm.

Always tee off the 22mm pipes and extend the circuit.
