Adding handheld to wall mounted rain shower

We have an Aqualisa quartz shower with a wall mounted rain head. Is there any way of adding a handheld shower hose ?

I've tried adding a diverter between the head and wall pipe which sort of works but we lose pressure from the rain head and it doesn't look great with the handheld hose coming out sideways from just above the head.

Ideally, I'd like to add a 2 way tee to the pipe coming out of the wall so the handheld goes vertically down the wall and the main pipe continues on horizontally to the rain head.

Any ideas please ?

Just to add that I could get rid of the rain head completely and just fit a handheld / riser bar. However, the water outlet pipe is above head height rather than being around waist height. It would need quite a long hose to allow use of the bracket. Has anyone any experience with this sort of arrangement ?

Photos of your current setup would make helping you much easier here

Hopefully these photos show the current aetup
