I want to add a 1600 double radiator to an existing system. The easyist way of doing this is teeing off the heating pipes upstairs however these are only 15mm, I would need to go a long way to manage to connect on to 22mm pipe and alter the pipework. Is it worth while or should the rad work ok off 15mm? with there already begin a 1000 single radiator on the run.

If it's just the two rads you've mentioned, it should be OK, not ideal but it should work. You'll probably need to re-balance the whole system after the alterations. Instructions are in the FAQ / wiki I think.

Otherwise it means taking the pipework up to 22mm from were it branches off a lot off work.
