Hi everyone.
We have bought an old and draughty 1890s bungalow in the north of Scotland, and it is coldddddd and, along with more insulation and new roofing etc plus a lot of other things that this place needs, we are fitting an overlay underfloor heating system.
It was extnded in the 50 or 60s and the extension floor is mostly a concrete slab. We have successfully laid slc to most of it. Now we are about to attach the eps ovelay boards to the slc and this is where I need the advice.
We have used the ultra tile level it 2 slc. Is that considered porous?
I sbr'd the concrete, then primered it with the ultra tile primer (can not rememeber the name, it was pink) before we did the slc. Should I sbr and/or prime the slc before we attach the ufh boards?
Are there any other adhesives that we could use other than the spray contact type?
The adhesive manufacturers say to spray both board and concrete, will I still need to do this if the slc has been primed/sbr'd?
Thanks.
