Hi

I am tiling the bathroom floor which is currently boarded.

I have repaired the boards and punched the nails down.

I am ready to fit my 6mm backer boards with adhesive and 30mm galvanised screws.

Can I use ready mixed or should i use powdered?

Any recommendations on what I should get?

one more question

I've ordered my galvanised screws (25mm no6) and hoping to get cracking this weekend. Can I use a countersink drill bit on the hardibacker so that the screw head sit flush?

Thanks

Don't used ready mixed. Get a decent trade powedered adhesive. Needs to be flexible.

BAL I have used and is recommended , there are others.

I wouldn't bother pre-drilling the holes in the hardibacker. The force of screwing it should be enough to push the heads down so they counter sync on their own.
