adhesive for polystyrene veneer on ceiling

I intend to stick this to my ceiling and then crossline over with 1700 grade lining paper(ceiling pretty rough!!)....will Solvite be OK to use?

Depends how rough the ceiling is. Solvite might not be enough. Might be better with a ready mixed adhesive.

It's smooth, but shows loads of undulations beneath the existing ceiling paper which is glued up there like a rock! If Solvite is capable of sticking polystyrene then I think I'll add a load of PVA and reduce the water content. Once the polystyrene is up and I line over that the problem must be well n truly hidden I hope.
