I have just bought some crystalstone quartz sparkle tiles to put on the walls in a new wetroom I am putting in. Can someone please recommend the best adhesive to use for this type of tile? Thanks
I have just laid some Gulf Stone Black Opal quartz (resin comglomerate) tiles in my ensuite and did a load of research on adhesive.
Recommendation would be to use BAL PTB Flexible as it has a low water content in the mix.
Apparently these resin mix tiles can be sussesptable to cupping once laid if there is to much water in the adhesive (thats the hought of the cause anyway). Also you should use a rapid setting adhesive to help this issue.
I don't know how likely it is to experience issues with other normal adhesives, but I err'd on the side of caution when doing mine!
Adhesive manufacturers technical help line should also be able to help you, the BAL guys are really helpful.
Also, I emailed the tile manufacturers for their input.
