Hi,

I have brick steps on a concrete base. The edge of the bricks projects out and over from the edge of the base and, where the bricks get the most traffic, they have come loose.

What can I add to ordinary mortar to give a good grip? Or is there something else altogether?

And maybe redo the steps so the bricks don't overhang (every time someone steps on the overhanging bit the mortar/whatever under the bricks goes into tension, which mortar doesn't do very well)

Well, I must say that I don't fancy redoing the steps altogether. Would make it a much bigger job. The external tile adhesive sounds a better bet, if that would take the tension involved..
