Hi. I have some "standard" bagged adhesive, apparently sets in 24hrs. This is my first floor tiling attempt and of course it's messy as anything, loads of adhesive all over the joints and the tile surfaces. They're quarry tiles so perhaps prone to staining.

But I need to wait a bit before I try to clean it off as I fear I'll just end up displacing the tiles if I do it too soon. About how long could I wait but have the adhesive still removable with a damp cloth/toothbrush or something?

Are we talking 12hrs or more like 1hr, or what?

Thanks,

really you shouldve cleaned them as you went,if theres lots of spilling then i would suggest you used to mush adhesive, always worth having a sponge and a bucket with you as you go.think you will just hope that they will clean up ok.
