hi guys - ive got a honda civic 1,7 cdti 2004 plate, i just want to adjust the accelerator pedal slightly so there is no give just before the car moves. Is there a way i can just adjust the slight give in it?...cheers

If I remember correctly the position sensor is located on the bulk head in the engine bay, there is a throttle cable going to it, there might be an adjustment on that?

This is the location of the potentiometer on an Accord.....

Look for similar on the Civic, the cable that enters from the left might be adjustable.

doesnt seem to be any cable that moves when i press the acceleartor pedal...so i cant really see what to adjust....car judders slightly when i move off because im thinking that im pressing the accelerator pedal, wher infact im just pressing only the slight play in the pedal...apperently honda say this is normal and there is suppose to be about a inch of play in the pedal...

heres my engine pic..
