I am studying Engineering at Uni, and I need my Adobe to display technical and mathematical symbols like Pi, equals, divide and different greek letters and things.

Except it doesn't, I just get little dots where a symbol should be, so I can't do work. Everytime I open my .pdf files it says "cannot find or create the font 'MT-Extra'. Some characters may not display or print correctly.

Sometimes 'MT-Extra' is 'Symbol-MT'. Is there anyway I can get these fonts without paying?

thanks,

I am using Adobe 7.0 (with latest updates) and XP

If practical you could ask for the pdf files to be recreated with all used fonts embedded into them, from your point of view far easier :).
