Has anyone used this to do repairs to cracked walls? Appreciate your feedback good and bad.

garash, good evening.

What sort of cracks are you looking to repair? and in what type of material.

Possibly can you get some images??

Ken.

Not really similar to "Quote! --- Cracked walls ----????

As an aside any replies to your other post about removing roughcast??

Are they linked?
The roughcast is outside. The cracks are on internal walls

OK???

So you are taking the roughcast render off the external wall, or walls??

The "cracks" are internal ??? on one or more walls? are the cracks on the plaster or on the Bricks? are they vertical? Horizontal? or diagonal? And where on the internal walls are these cracks, in a corner? or somewhere else?

What age is the property,

Ken.

The property is 1930's built. There is one diagonal movement crack at corner of window, at ceiling height it then goes along in a straight line. Outside the PB has not only had previous repairs but has some new cracks. I am looking at all my options and my first choice/thought would be to have it stripped off, start afresh. I will not know what condition the brickwork is until this is done but even so the.build would then be fully rendered.

Cracks are caused by tension. No product is going to bond the two sides of a crack together like glue. This adoplug and other similar resin cement adhesives are intended to bond metal ties or bars into walls. These adhesives are then covered with traditional mortar or render to hide their ugliness.

garash, good evening, again.

All as "woody" glue on its own cannot assist, But

Dependent on the cracks in the brick can I suggest you research "Crack Stitch Repairs" there are several methods, and companies out there.

I have specified the use of, on numerous occasions the " Helifix" type systems, this system combines Stainless steel twisted rods, + Glue to assist in restraining moving brick as well as other applications, such as giving stability to a window that does not have a lintel fitted??

Suggest you Google Helifix?
