Read the FAQ's. I knew nothing about CH systems but then read chrishutt's post describing all the components and then checked the FAQ's and found a post (no. 3) that told me exactly what the problem was and how to work around the problem in the short term. I at least now know what is wrong so that I can get a quote on how much it will cost to repair and my wife is now happy that the house is getting warm after 3 freezing nights!
From one newbie to all the others please read through the FAQ's before you start hassling the pro's with problems that they have probably answered over and over again.
