Hi

I own a 60's ground floor flat with concrete floors and ceilings.
I want to put a combi and rads into the flat. I don't really want to have all of the pipework to the rads visible.

Would it be feasible to bury the pipework in the concrete floor?
Would it be really hard work (& expensive !) to do it this way?
Is it likely that the floor is solid concrete, or is there a layer of screed on the top, and would this make it easier to chisel into?

Thanks for any help you can give.

A massive amount of work chiselling the floor. :(

Why not use guildflex pipe covers or similar. :D

Did it ever have warm air heating?? If so you can sometimes use the central duct for some of the pipe.
Boxing systems can either be like this

or disguised as skirtings:

etc

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately no warm air ducting. Its economy 7.

Chris R, where can I buy the pipe covers that look like skirting. They look very neat and unobtrusive.

Thanks
