With respect to my previous thread on the towel warmer radiator, due to pick up the new radiator and fit over the next few days.

This is the first job I've undertaken with respect to a domestic heating system and I'm unsure of how to refill the new towel radiator once fitted, I believe it's called re pressurising the system?

Secondly, the heating system I have incorporates a hot water cylinder and a cold water tank in the loft, this is known as a Conventional System? The boiler itself is Viessmann Vitodens 100-w Heat Only.

Can anyone advise as once the radiator is fitted to how I proceed next? Thanks :)

If you have two tanks in the loft (one cold water storage and one much smaller heating header tank) your system won’t need pressurising, just filling. Connect up your new towel rad, open the valves, undo the bleed screw on top of the rad until all the air is out.

Before you fit it, see if you have any lift on those pipes coming through the floor and if you do, mount the rad a bit higher.
