Advice needed

Hi everyone we need expert advice. We have had a conservatory built with 2 full block walls to the sides. The builder rendered these outside walls and they looked OK until I painted them. They are full of lumps, bumps and float marks - can't live with it. Called builder back he says can't skim over and suggested Tyrolean - is this the way to go? Also, if thats what we have done is it easy or are there procedures to follow so it lasts?

Well its your builders botch its his responsibility to make right.
Easier said than done i know.
