Afternoon everyone
Can anyone offer any advice on the best way to tackle this , im going to be attempting to tile the external porch area of my front door ( which is another story haha , ive new i needed to seal the bottom of the door but on closer inspection ive noticed the door seems to be sat on some timber which looks to have cracked in two , part of the wood on the left seems loose but wont come out , would you just whack a load of silicon sealer in and tile upto the thresh hold ?

Hello, probably best thing to do is to take the wood out carefully and fill the gap with expanding foam. It will be strong once cured, you can then tile with your tile adhesive etc up to the threshold cill

I did think that , then i wondered if the door frame was actually resting on it . Would the expanding foam withstand that ?
Thanks
