Hi, we are looking to paint our garage, which is an unsightly grey pebble dash effect. What is the best paint to use, and is it expensive (as large garage). Someone mentioned limewash, but sounds toxic to me, and have pets. Thanks

Would you throw away the fridge and store all your meat and diary in the coldest room of the house?...nah thought not..dont use lime wash either..thats like going back 70 years too!

Most of the major brands do a decent exterior masonry paint..stick to those and you wont go wrong..expect to pay about £20 for 5 litres.

Use this for any edge brushwork. Superb exterior brush.

Use a long pile roller for the rest. Sandtex smooth masonry / Johnstone's smooth masonry / Dulux weathershield .

And keep that diary out of the "cold room".

If the link doesn't work .. it's a 4" exterior yellow handled masonry brush, available from a Johnstone's Leyland outlet.

The rodo liftimer sleeves are very good..light and hold a massive load of paint..they also have a sponge inner for rough walls.
