Hi Everyone

After having suffered with black mold appearing on my bathroom ceiling my initial solution was to use a mold removing bleach spray.

Later on I remembered that the paint that had been used on the ceiling initially when we moved in was just a paint suitable for kitchens I decided to repaint the ceiling thinking this would help the situation.

I sanded down the artex bobbly ceiling to make it a easy as possible and then I painted the ceiling with an initial base coat of B I N PRIMER SEALER and then put on some Dulux White Bathroom paint that’s specifically for mold.

Initially it was fine and then after a couple of weeks it started to peel.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what of the many things I have done, I may have done wrong and how I might go about fixing it?

Thanks FOG

Buy humidity sensor to see what's happening. Going to be better now its summer and houses drying out, as this is a winter problem.
You need loads of insulation above ceiling to stop it getting cold so go look at that.
This will help prevent condensation forming on surface which is your problem.
You may want to invest in a dehumidifier to suck water out the property.
Paint has lost its adhesion because of condensation damp. Painting over a damp ceiling is your problem along with the existing paint not stuck well.

Dry it out
Remove loose paint.
Seal again
Use a bathroom paint.
Add loads of insulation above ceiling
Fit extractor
Run dehumidifier for a few hours every evening to lower humidity.
