Advice On Polished Concrete Worktops Please!

Hi My names robert and i am a builder in manchester. I am doing up my own house at the moment.

i have a few questions, about polished concrete worktops so i will list them:

• 
  What mix is best, (e.g. 6:1),
  Do i need feb in it,
  whats the best cement dye,
  What type of re-inforcing should i use,
  Shuld i use formica formwork to get a smoth front edge,
  How do i get the glass like shine and smooth surface.

I watched them do this on Grand Designs once. I didn't pay much attention at the time so can't help, but it might be worthing having a look on the Channel 4 website to see if the Grand Designs mini-site has any details.

Try having a look at "Polished Terrazzo" websites. I know you are on about polished concrete, but they are similar. Worth a look.
