Hi all, i have an AEG washing machine and it keeps showing the C2 error code so i thought i would clean out any blockages including the pump. My problem is that i managed to open up the machine to get to the pump but there are some meatal clips holding the pipes to the pump, does anyone know how to get these off so i can clean the inside of the pump?

Thanks for any advice

I tried to see what sort of clips were used be looking at a blow up diagram of the machine internals but it only shows a jubilee clip which is for the main hose from the drum where it fits onto the filter housing. Most machines use corbin clips which are spring loaded with 2 tabs you squeeze together using pliers.

If i use pliers to take them off will i be able to put them back on again or will i have to buy new ones?

If they are the type I mentioned, yes you can re-use them. There are certain types you can't re-use in which case you would need to buy Jubilee clips from a car accessory shop. I found a picture of a single loop corbin clip but they usually have double loops:

i'm not sure if my clips are the same as the ones that you are describing but i'll give it a go tonight and see if it works. Thanks for the help!
