More and more I think about it - conservatism must be a mental illness. Its akin to the abused wife leaving only to find another abusive man and the cycle starts again.

Something is broken in their minds.

I wonder how those farmers would have reacted at the time if youd said "youre being lied to".

'Project fear' probably...

Now they are the ones in fear of their livelihoods...

Sod 'em!

Especially the thicko saying he would vote the same way again...

Totally nuts!

poor farmer said "we should be playing on a level playing field"

Brexers hate that.

The EU wanted it and Johnson said no.

The Australian deal is only worth between 0.01 to 0.02% on GDP over 15 years (government's own estimates). Is that worth destroying our own farms for? What happens when costs to transport the beef and lamb from 10,000 miles away start to rise? Apart from Blojo crowing about beating The EU to a deal with Oz, what's in the deal for us? Which of our products will the Ozzies want to buy from us? Some Scotch and some Chorley cakes?

If having a trade deal with Oz is so s**t, why are the EU trying for a deal with them?
