Hi I had a new shower room fitted out last month. However since the plumber finished the job, the hot water to a shower in another bathroom on the same floor has stopped working. It is receiving cold water but no hot. We have checked all valves are open but still nothing. Can anybody help I am broke from spending money with plumbers.

Why have you not contacted the plumbers that installed your new shower and told them to fix it free of charge if this happened when they were installing your new one ?

Thanks for your response, yeah I know its the obvious question but I have phoned and phoned and phoned and he just doesn't turn up. I have guests arriving from the USA next week and really need this sorted beforehand.

are both showers power showers ? it is unusuall to get an airlock in a power shower, if the shower you are having problems with is just a standard gravity shower then it may be an airlock

Yes they are both power showers. One working perfectly, however we did also have an air lock in the new shower when it was installed and it seemed to eventually sort itself out by us just running the shower for 10 - 15 mins at a time. Its just the hot water supply, we are not at all knowledgeable about plumbing so please feel free to ask all the (silly) questions. It will be a great check list for us. If this was an airlock how would we clear it.
