Some friends had an air lock in their water supply pipe (running underground for about half a mile from a hill stream).
The contractor used a "test pump" to pump about two bowser loads of water up the pipe to the settling tank at the intake.
Is there anything special about the type of pump used?. Apparently it just looked like around a 3.5hp Honda motor and a small pump plumbed into the piping at the UV filter.
