have tried hose pipe from cold kitchen to basin , water ran for 45 secs then stopped . just a hunch but as i've not touched anything else could it be a blockage in pipe as cistern had a home made lid and water inside looked less than clean ,, also cistern has always been only half filled [seemed as uf set for such position. any ideas please help as i'm lost in a maze of pipes that r hot water and c/h , none are marked????????????

Have you checked the tank is filling in the roof(not empty)?

still confused about maze of unmarked pipes in a small dark cupboard have done hose blast/how long should i let the water run between taps and should the other taps[hot water be open or closed] have done it so far with only hose to hot tap open. am getting slight flow of hot water
Blockage in pipe somewhere[a possibility??]
any ideas welcome am getting pd off with this . thanx
