thinking of looking into the house and if air quality is an issue - other half has some fatigue etc and I have been feeling rough recently - and all test come back normal

done a lot of refurb to the house - but nothing in last year or so

i was thinking of maybe an air quality monitor - but not sure , maybe some sort of mould test

other half wants to get someone in - BUT i just feel we could do some tests and a company is bound to get into things like - CHANGE ALL the loft insulation (was put in around 2000 ish , but over some old stuff
etc etc - my son had a damp survery done for a mortgage and it was useless - pages of information that we already knew from a survey with meter readings ....... so susect it would be the same

we dont know - BUT you need to XXXXXXX at £'sssssssssss

anyway
seen the IKEA air monitor monitor around £40
any recommendations , thoughts ?????

got the air quality app and it says in our area today pm2.5 is poor 26/ug/m2

had a long chat with dyson online - maybe i just buy an airquality machine but wow are they expensive to buy and replacement filters

Update - purchased a Shark MAX from john lewis today - and disappointed i guess to see the room was 100% !!!!!! - but o think it only detects the bigger size 2.5 - although deals with small particles
I put a candle out next to it to see hat happens and it dropped to 16% and ran full speed, maybe 40mins to get back to 100%

You have a cheap oxygen monitor for you finger? That's worth having for when you are feeling a bit off.
And blood pressure monitor.

It was 100 years ago and still today. Move to the coast for fresh air. I know what you're saying about the air quality especially in cities and near busy roads. The black grime on peoples walls in some locations makes you wonder what we are breathing.
Also get some kind of air scrubber or filtered ventilation. You just change the paper filters to keep it clean

thanks
we are 1/2 Km from the sea in wittering - Garden is pretty much straight out to see as we are on a slight incline (i think about 5m above sea level ) and between us and sea are just bunglalos - i know the garage at the back of the garden takes a huge bashing in windy weather
I have checked the blood oxygen we have 2 units and they say its fine
plus i have on my apple watch and ofen check that

The unit seems to be working well and when we do a fried breakfast in the morning , (which i have as diabetic) it goes into full fan mode for a while - so at least its working
other half says she feels a lot better , but that maybe placebo - who knows

Gas hob or Electric? Gas hobs dump combustion byproducts into the air, induction is better for that (and so easy to clean!).
